Project:                 Sakata

Client:                   Vaughan Constructions

Consultant:           Bruce Young Partners

This project involved an extension to the main fabrication building with an additional 3500m2 of storage area, two new office spaces, comprehensive strengthening of the existing structure in order to support the installation of new fire sprinklers and ample refurbishment work to various existing production and storage areas. As the existing facility was operating continuously, the construction method had to be carefully considered and coordinated with the builder in order to ensure that minimal disruptions would occur to the production process and also meet the end client very stringent OH&S requirements.

PacifiCO Structural Steel were engaged by the builder particularly for their expertise in such type of extension projects requiring quick and neat site construction procedures.

Overall, more than 90t of structural steel and 5,100m of purlins and girts were fabricated, delivered and installed by PacifiCO Structural Steel and their designated installation contractor, Gully Rigging.
